Triangle Swim School Cary: Towerview Location

Triangle Swim School is an amazing business for swim instruction. My kids (6 and 7 years old) have done swimming lessons two other places previously (out of state) and I felt that they were okay, but that progression was very slow and difficult to maintain. My kids have progressed so much since beginning at TSS. I think this is a combination of small class sizes and really great coaching. They also consistently love going to class (which is very unusual, particularly for my daughter). I feel like we've had experiences with quite a few coaches (we've had to change class times a bit, a few makeups, substitutes, etc), and my kids have taken really well to them all. They also do a good job quickly identifying where the kids are skill-wise and adjusting class appropriately. We haven't had many cancelled classes, but I find it easy to schedule makeup classes. If I can't find a time on the website, they can generally find something if you email or call. They provide thorough email communication with closures, monthly schedules, etc. They also get back to me quickly when I leave a voicemail. My kids were lucky enough to have Dana as a coach for a few months. She manages the TSS locati

If I could give Triangle Swim School 10 stars, I would! I honestly cannot recommend this place enough. My 7-year-old was a beginner, and I literally looked into and tried several different swim schools in the area before finally choosing TSS. They actually offer a FREE trial class! When I first checked their website, almost everything showed as "waitlisted," but I decided to call them directly and they miraculously found a trial spot for us right away! As a parent with a background in education, I was so relieved and happy to find a school that actually understands child psychology. Unlike other highly commercialized swim chains where kids are just treated like a number on a conveyor belt, the coaches here are true educators. They don't just teach techniques; they explain the "how" and "why" to the kids in a way they can actually grasp. It makes such a huge difference in the child's motivation! They make the class fun and engaging! In fact, my son loved it so much that right after his second class, he begged me to add more sessions! We immediately bumped it up to 4 times a week, and now he's doing 5 times a week because he just can't get enough of it! (Honestly, more frequent cl

We enrolled our 4-year-old son Youssef in swimming lessons with very little prior experience. He enjoyed the water, but he was always afraid to put his face underwater. Since starting lessons with Coach Dana and later Coach Megan, the progress has honestly been amazing. Coach Dana helped him start building confidence almost immediately, and Coach Megan continued that momentum in such a patient, encouraging, and positive way. Now he’s comfortable putting his face underwater, much more confident in the pool, and genuinely excited for every class. As parents, it’s been so rewarding to watch his fear turn into confidence and enjoyment. A huge thank you to Coach Dana and Coach Megan for their patience, encouragement, and great teaching approach with young kids. They truly made a big difference for our son!

My son is thriving in the 2:1 swim lessons. He looks forward to it every week and the small ratio allows the coach to tailor the lessons to each child and their skills. I wish the bathrooms were cleaner and there was more than one shower. In addition the benches for parents to sit on are very uncomfortable, luckily it’s only 30 minutes.

Unfortunately TSS has greatly declined. While we really love our coach, the company is all for profit now. In 2026, they have cancelled 4/8 of my daughter’s classes due to staffing issues, inability to find substitute coaches and weather. They issue useless tokens as there is no availability ever to use them along with increasing their prices. We will be leaving for an alternative swim school. I do not recommend.
